FAQ - Almost Everything You Need to Know

  • My problem is not mentioned on the list. Can I still benefit from this therapy?
Yes, absolutely. Non trance hypnosis can be used to change almost any current pattern of thought you are unhappy with. The beliefs that restrict us and prevent us from reaching our true potential are all at some point learnt at a subconscious level. Yet often we become consciously aware that certain beliefs or patterns of thought are now out of date and do us no good. CONTROL is the method by which we update our own subconscious programming and remove the barriers in our thinking that restrict us.
  • How do I prepare for the initial consultation?
You just need to ensure you're not going to be disturbed and in a comfortable chair. Because you will need to move your hands during the process please use a desk/laptop rather than a phone.
  • Does this type of therapy work for everyone?
No. About 15% of people do not respond to any type of hypnosis. This is why we always begin the process with a free, no obligation initial consultation to discuss what you what to achieve with the therapy and whether your subconscious is willing and able to respond. If it isn't this is no reflection on you and you will gain valuable information about how your mind works during the session.
  • What is 'non trance' hypnosis and how does it differ from hypnotherapy?
Non trance hypnosis is a talking therapy. In traditional hypnotherapy you are put in a hypnotic trance and the therapist will communicate with your subconscious while you are in the trance; you are generally not aware of what is being said during the session. With non trance hypnosis you are awake throughout and actively participant in the session. The conversation is conducted with your subconscious mind, as that is the part of you that controls your emotions, habits, memories, creativity and imagination however, if necessary, the rational, conscious part of your mind can step in if we hit a block.
  • When and how do I pay?
Payment is made after the initial consultation once you, and your practitioner, are happy that this type of therapy is right for you and you are ready to proceed with the change process. You do not need to make this decision during the initial consultation. Payment is made directly to your practitioner and they will advise you of the available payments methods.
  • Is it possible to change practitioners if I don't get on with one assigned to me?
Yes. We are all human and sometimes people just don't gel together, through no fault of their own. If you would prefer to work with a different practitioner simply let us know. There is a maximum of three free initial consultations. Please note that due to confidentiality reasons your information can not be passed between practitioners.
